ALL LIVING FEAR

2002 – 2005

All Living Fear are back; gig offers started coming in; the Gothic scene began returning to the guitar again and in 2002 All Living Fear played some of the best shows in their career – most notably in Reading, London's Devonshire Arms and especially at The Garage where Paul joined Andy on stage for an impromptu version of "Stranger To None".

Matthew and Andy along with, the ever present, Martin, started work on what would be the bands 4th album 'Home too Soon' some of the songs rolled along quite quickly, some took a little longer, from a pool of about 30½ written tunes, we narrowed it down to 15 then 11, it was a very enjoyable time recording the album, for the first time the band used a totally digital recording environment making a massive leap in terms of production quality (and was reflected in some of the reviews the album has acquired).

To promote the album All Living Fear opened for Wayne Hussey at the Whitby Gothic weekend to an audience of over 1000 the band went down well even of the band themselves weren't a 100 percent happy with the bands performance though a few more gigs in and by the time ALF supported the Damned to a crowed of 800 at Torquay town hall the band were on form again. And to round things of, BBC 6 Music had a goth week and the ONLY modern UK gothic band to be played the whole time was All Living Fear as the song 'Insomnia' was played as an example of modern day British Goth.

2004 Saw All Living Fear gain their most prestigious support slots to date, first supporting All About eve on 2 dates of their final (?) UK tour and then given a prestigious slot with The Wildhearts, though because the band Glitterati over ran their sound check ALF didn't actually play, a lots opportunity that no doubt will one day be rectified. Matthew delved back into the bands archives and edited together a 10 track DVD of songs spanning the bands entire career.

2005 Home Too Soon has done well for All Living Fear and the gigs carry on with good shows in Weston-Super-Mare, Colchester, Dudley and a great night Supporting Nik Turners Space Ritual in Paignton. New material is currenty being written, Matthew also is in the midst of writing a musical.
